November 29, 2011- Just added Linda's newest newspaper article to our Linda's Articles page.
 
November 17, 2011-The Elliott County Historical Society has finished cataloging Funeral Home Cards donated by Linda Jarrells and Anita Skaggs, the cards are now ready for researchers. Missy Jent donated a collection of obituaries to the Historical Society and we hope to have those organized and ready for the public very soon. Various records on the Simmons, Barker, Boggs and Carroll families collected and donated by Linda Crose ...has been added to the collection. We want to thank everyone for their contributions to the Historical Society!!!
 
November 9, 2011- Added a new list to our ECHS Collection page "Kentucky Book Collection".
 
November 4, 2011-Added newly donated Elliott County High School Yearbook to our collection. Go to our newest page ECHS Collection for a complete listing of years.

September 9, 2011- James F. Wilson of Thorne Bay, AK donated the following items on the Wilson family to the Elliott County Historical Society. The John B. Wilson Diary- A journal of a 17 year old Elliott County man from Fraley Ridge to Swift Current SASK Canada in 1906. A Photo of the John Wilson Farm on Fraley Ridge ca. 1895. Photo of Pleas Wilson home on Fraley Ridge and family members standing in front of house on Fraley Ridge. Pleas Wilson family portrait. Thanks Jim for the wonderful additions to our collection. These items are ready for viewing and reading at the Historical Society research center.
 
September 9, 2011- We would like to thank Betty Duvall for donating the follow materials to the Elliott County Historical Society September 3. Sandy Valley Heritage Quarterlies, KOWVA Genealogical & Historical Society Quarterlies. A copy of the 1914-15 Wells Creek Attendance Record, Ray Davis Teacher, Etta Davis Pile gave the copy to Betty. These research materials are ready for use at the Historical Society. Thanks so much Betty.
